Laurence Sweeney – Newcastle Wedding Photographer :
Michael and Louise decided to go ahead with their lockdown wedding despite a number of restrictions. As a result, they were allowed a maximum of 30 people to attend the ceremony in the Church. Which means that their reception would be postponed until later in the year.
This meant that Stacey and I covered a limited amount of the preparation. We captured the ceremony and a few bubble group photos after the ceremony. It was one of the hottest days of the year. One of the unforeseen consequences of wearing masks was that our camera viewfinders constantly misted up.
Therefore, despite the challenges, we produced some wonderful photos that they love, which is the most important thing. A lockdown wedding can be great.
Most photographers have the same aim as ourselves, which is to delight their clients and it should go without saying that they would want to produce images that are personal, stylish and emotive. We love seeing people’s reactions when they view their photographs for the first time, but it is just as important to ensure that it will become a joyous feeling for years to come.
