Ayo and Leila held their wedding at The Secret Tower in Newcastle in April.
The Secret Tower is a relatively new wedding venue addition in Newcastle is at the location of the Grade I-listed Sallyport Tower, which dates back to the 1200s and once formed part of the main defensive fortifications of the city walls.
Early in the day, Leila and some of her bridesmaids got ready at the Hilton Hotel across the River Tyne in Gateshead, where her father came to collect her to take her to the ceremony.
Ayo, his best man Tony and the other groomsmen waited patiently, chatting amongst themselves and with the arriving guests.
Ayo and Leila now live in London, but Newcastle remains an important factor in their union as it was where they met.
The wedding was a joy to be a part of with a fabulous cultural mix of people from Nigeria, Belgium, UK, Kyrgyzstan and many more.
There were plenty of tears, smiles and laughter which continued well into the evening. We were honoured to be asked to photograph the big day of two beautiful people both inside and out.
Most photographers have the same aim as myself, which is to delight their clients and it should go without saying that they would want to produce images that are personal, stylish and emotive.
I love seeing people’s reactions when they view their photographs for the first time, but it is just as important to ensure that it will become a joyous feeling for years to come.
Every wedding is special and every one I shoot is an honour to be a part of.
