“I almost wish we were butterflies and liv’d but three summer days – three such days with you I could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain.” – John Keats
We thought our first blog of the year should be full of random ideas for couples who may be getting married this year are still looking for inspiration.
Our starting point is the wedding breakfast/reception, where rather than the standard numbers you could have the table names as Local Street Names, Favourite Films, Favourite Rock/Pop Groups, Landmarks/Beaches, Countries, Sports Teams/Stadiums, Capital/Famous Cities, Cartoons, Motor Racing Circuits, Islands of the World, Novels or Film Series (Harry Potter/James Bond). Whilst you are at it what about keeping your guests busy with a Picture Quiz featuring old Photos of Guests and Photos of the Bridal Party as Children. For the young guests (and some of the older ones) colouring books are a worthwhile investment.
It is the tradition to buy flowers or jewellery for the Mothers of the Bride and Groom, however a personalised hand-drawn framed poem may be more appropriate. I recommend that you seek out https://www.rosarts.co.uk/ who paints wonderful table plans and bespoke framed story board paintings.
I hope you have a great wedding in 2017.
Kind regards
Laurence
